POMPEI

Walking in the streets of Pompei is like going back in the past.
After its destruction in 79 AD, and the incredible excavation, it represents an irreplaceable historical and human documentation of the past: Pompei is the intact picture of a city where life suddenly stopped because of a terrible eruption of the Vesuvius.

ERCOLANO

Like Pompei, Ercolano was destroyed by the Vesuvius eruption in 79 AD.
Unlike Pompei, though, it was buried by an incandescent flood of lava and mud that, once solidified, reached a thickness up to 25 meters.
